[Experimental] Annotations

An up-and-coming feature of resgen is the ability to select and annotate regions of a genome. Annotations are performed on a genome browser track.

Adding annotations

To add an annotation, make sure that you are using the Chrome web browser, hold down the 'a' key and drag on the view. Once you are finished, you'll be able to enter a name and description and associate the annotation with a project.

Important: In order for your annotations to appear afterwards, the dataset they are overlaid on has to have an assembly:... tag associating it with a set of chromsizes. See the Mapped Reads section for more information on how to associate a dataset with a set of chromsizes.

Exporting annotations

To export annotations, click on the 'Export' button in the annotations list.

Annotations are currently exported in a bedpe-like format:
